Aaaaaand here he is!! Now with lots of editing, because I'm so damn pickyyyyy...
Appearance
Name: Valiance Dominic Dar’Nalen
Age: 19
Hair: platinum blonde
Skin: very fair
Eyes: crystalline blue
Weight: 120 lbs.
Height: 6’2”
Description of Clothes/picture: Valiance Dar’Nalen is a tall, blonde, blue-eyed beauty who has a smile like an angel and sleepy eyes. He’s lanky, almost to the point of being unbelievably skinny, and he towers over most people. For a guy, Valiance is amazingly pretty, and he looks really frail because he’s always covered up and he has long hair. The only badass thing about him would probably be the awesome tattoo that covers his entire back. He’s dressed in a white cable-knit sweater with a long white scarf, white pants, and black hiking boots. Here’s his model.
He looks pretty harmless and sweet, but he's an avid warrior and he's a sucker for battle.
Here is his tattoo, because I happen to like tattoos.
Personality
Personality: Valiance is quite possibly one of the most laid-back, serene creatures known to walk the dimensions. He’s sweet, even-tempered, and has a history of cheerfulness and calm, but never anger. He has a low voice, and nothing ever surprises him; even if the most unlikely thing happens, he's most likely to just smile and go along with things. He likes soft, cuddly things like kittens and puppies and always has a smile to spare, mainly because he's a veterinarian. He never gets angry and no one has ever upset him. Valiance always seems to find the good in everything and is permanently wearing rose-colored glasses. He’s sweet and loveable and sometimes even acts like a little kid because he likes giving things nicknames (due to all of his too-cute patients). A lot of the times he gives off an air of being an airhead, but he's really level-headed.
History: Not much is known about Valiance, because he doesn’t really talk much. A lot of time he just smiles and hangs in the background. The most that anyone knows about him is that he’s from a long line of powerful magicians called Crossers. He lives alone in a rather large, old-fashioned castle that happens to be made entirely of obsidian, a black, volcanic stone rumored to be a conduit for magic. (So basically, being in his house magnifies his magic powers tenfold, which is pretty awesome.) His father was a great magician in his time and it seems that Valiance is just like him and then some, because he’s already managed to become the most powerful Crosser in his world and be better than his father at such a young age on nineteen. He has Crossed forward and backward into time, so he knows things, and yet he still puts on such a convincing oblivious act that his fellow magicians find it hard to believe he’s a Crosser. Even though he's seen some really morbid things (like how he's going to die and the end of the world and stuff), he doesn't advertise it and prefers not to talk about all the things he sees. Because he can see the future, he seems like he has amazing reflexes, because he can see things just seconds before they happen, which are handy in a fight. The only thing is, Valiance hardly fights because he's only known as a vet in his world, at least to the peasants, which outnumber the magicians 200 to 1.
Valiance comes from a rather typical family. He has a father, a mother, and a fraternal twin sister named Harmony who looks nothing like him. His mother is not a magician, and neither is Harmony, as Crosser magicks usually only pass on to males. His father is currently at a pilgtrimage to the Highest Isles (the, uhm, highest-floating islands in his world that are populated by dragons) and his mother and sister prefer to live on the Sea Continents. So Valiance has a huge castle all to himself, which he turned into an animal clinic. You'd think the family would be dysfunctional, because they're all split up, but they're really close. Valiance often takes trips down to the Sea Continents to see his mother and his twin, and his father regularly sends them all letters via Ibon (more on Ibon at the World section).
Moral standards: He has the power to take over his entire world, but he devotes his time to climbing trees and saving kittens. The mansion he lives in is also the only veterinary clinic in his world. Of course, no one except the most powerful magicians of his world know that the nice ol’ vet living in the old house is the most powerful Crosser in the world, because he doesn’t talk to people much. He prefers talking to the puppies he treats for hangnails. I think that says loads about his morals.
Likes: animals (no matter how big and ferocious they are, he thinks all animals are cute, even if they're trying to take a bite out of his hand), warm milk with honey, knitting, archery
Dislikes: coffee, people with loud voices, pointless fights (if you're just trying to prove you're stronger, then you're really just a coward), meat (he's a vegetarian, and he absolutely LOVES tofu)
Technical/others
Type of weapon: darts. They're not like Cardigan's ice picks; they're smaller, more slender, and when embedded into flesh, releases a quick-acting poison that can drop full-grown dragons in half an hour (not that he's ever done that to such gentle creatures, but that's how potent the poison is). They're shaped like ordinary darts, and look like the ones below, except not striped.
Element (I know we already said this but just in case): Aero
Description/Name of world: Kalangitan. [KAH-lung-EE-tuhn] Kalangitan looks like an ordinary Earth, only it has two large continents covering the northern and southern poles. The rest of the planet is water. The interesting thing about Kalangitan is its famous Floating Isles. Like their names say, they are large landmasses that hover above the water. Some only hover a few feet above the oceans, while others are miles and miles in the air. The natives that live on the Sea Continents are ordinary people who have no special magical ability. But most magicians and dragons live on the Floating Islands. The main mode of transportation from the Sea Continents to the Floating Isles are Ibon [EE-bohn], which are large transparent birds the size of horses with silver-tipped wings. There are Ibon which aren’t transparent, and they are rare. Kalangitan’s climate range from rainy or snowy (down in the Sea Continents) to tropical (in the Highest Isles).
